New Delhi, May 19 (IANS) The BJP Sunday appointed party general Amit Shah, considered close to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, as incharge of electorally crucuial Uttar Pradesh. The announcement of incharge of states along with convenors and incharges of various fronts was made Sunday. Party president Rajnath Singh also appointed party leader Bandaru Dattatray, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, as a vice-president.

New Delhi, May 18 (IANS) A Delhi-based couple were arrested from Kolkata for duping several banks by forging documents, police said Saturday.
