Brazilian-Spanish consortium to build hydro plant
Lima, March 23 (IANS/EFE) A consortium made up of Spain's Corsan Corviam and Brazil's Engevix and Enex has been chosen to build a hydroelectric power station in southern Peru, officials said. The Andean nation's Private Investment Promotion Agency, or Proinversion, said in a statement that the dam to be built by the CEE consortium will require an investment outlay of roughly $600 million. The Molloco project, commissioned by the Energy and Mines Ministry, is located in the southern region of Arequipa.
