Melbourne, Feb 17 (IANS) Cricket Australia Sunday announced that Australia A batsman Shaun Marsh will take no further part in the series against the England Lions after he ruptured a hamstring tendon during Saturday night's match at Bellerive Oval, Hobart. Australia A physiotherapist David Beakley said: "A scan has revealed that Shaun Marsh ruptured a hamstring tendon behind his right knee while batting last night. Shaun will see a specialist orthopaedic surgeon early this week to determine the appropriate course of treatment."

Sydney, Feb 17 (IANS) Honey suppresses the growth of a quartet of bugs commonly infesting chronic wounds, but according to a finding manuka honey is the best of them for healing injuries. University of Technology Sydney (UTS) researchers looked at three kinds of honey, namely manuka, kanuka and clover, to determine which was the most effective in combating them. Real Manuka honey comes from the Leptospermum scoparium plant that is native to New Zealand, the journal Public Library of Science ONE reports
