Ingredients
Seedless Red Grapes – 1 kg
Sugar – 2 kg
Distilled water or boiled and cooled water– 4 liters
Active Dry Yeast – 2 tsp
Luke Warm Water – 75 ml
Cinnamon Stick – 1
Cloves –2
Sugar – 100 gm
Preparation
Clean and wash the grapes well. Then, remove the stalks. Dissolve yeast in the lukewarm water and keep it aside for 15 minutes. Crush the grapes and add the 2kg sugar and mix well. Transfer the crushed grapes and sugar mix to the ceramic jar. Add yeast to the jar. Add cinnamon and cloves. Add water to this mixture. Mix everything well. Keep the jar closed and airtight for 21 days. Stir the mixture with a wooden spatula every alternate day for 21 days. After 21 days, strain the grape mixture into another vessel. Keep it for another 14 days. Strain the mixture again. For coloring the wine, caramelize 100gm sugar and add it to the wine. Store the wine in clean glass bottles.
