Homemade Pizza Recipe

Ingredients 

  • Flour – 2 cups
  • Butter – 1 dessert spoon
  • Yeast – ½ dessert spoon
  • Warm milk – ½ cup
  • Sugar – 1 tsp
  • Salt – to taste

Topping   

  • Onion rings – 2 cups
  • Sliced & fried brinjal – 1 cup
  • Garlic – 1 tsp
  • Refined oil – 2 tsp
  • Minced tomatoes – 1 ½ cup
  • Grated cheese – 2 cups
  • Tomato sauce – 4 dessert spoon

Method          

Heat the milk, sprinkle the yeast and sugar.  Stir well.  Keep till it froths.  Rub the butter in flour.  Pour the yeast and salt to taste.  Knead well & make firm smooth dough, adding more milk or water if necessary.  Keep it to rise after rubbing a little oil on top.

Heat a frying pan.  Put 1dsp oil and the onion rings.  Stir well and remove before they turn colour.  Put the crushed garlic and fry.  Add tomatoes and salt and cook till water in it dries up.  Remove from fire and mix it with the tomato sauce.

Press down the risen dough, knead and make it into 2 balls.  Roll them our separately pizza pans and press with the finger till they reach the edge.  Smear a little oil.  Divide the tomato paste and put it inside the 2 pans.  Spread it leaving out ¼ inches of edge around.  Put the onions also evenly on the 2 pans.  Arrange the brinjals here and there on both the pizzas.  Sprinkle the grated cheese till they are covered.  Cook them in a pre-heated oven (400) till edges are golden brown and cheese is melted. (Use any vegetables or more meat for filling).  Cut them and serve hot.
