Ingredients
- Beef – ½ kg
- Coconut – ½
- Coriander – 30 gm
- Red Chillies – 5 gm
- Turmeric – ¼ tsp
- Cinnamon – ½ tsp
- Cloves – ½ tsp
- Pepper corns – ½ tsp
- Shallots – 10 gm
- Garlic – 6
- Ginger – ½ pinch
- Curry Leaves – 2 sprigs
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – 50 ml
Method
Slice coconut into small thin pieces. Sprinkle a little turmeric powder. Heat ½ the oil. Saute’ coconut and remove. Clean and cut meat. Grind red chillies, turmeric powder, cinnamon, cloves and pepper corns. Roast onion, and garlic and grind to a fine paste. Slice ginger. Mix meat with spices, ground onions, garlic, and ginger and curry leaves, coconut, salt and enough water. Cook meat dry. Bring to boil and reduce heat. Cover tightly. Stir well. Heat the remaining oil. Add meat and fry well.
