St. Louis, May 9 (ANI): A new king has been crowned in St. Louis as organizers unveiled the world’s largest chess piece. According to Guinness World Records, the giant king piece that sits on a patio in front of the World Chess Hall of Fame, is 4.46 meter tall and has a 1.83 meter diameter base. The unveiling is coinciding with the start of the 2012 U.S. Chess Championships. According to the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of St. Louis, the king piece weighs 1,034 kg.
