Ranchi, Feb 10 (IANS) Two school students were killed and one injured when the bike they were riding hit a road divider in Ranchi Friday morning, police said.
The three boys, students of JMJ school here, were going to school on the bike. The rider ostensibly lost control and hit the divider near AG Office roundabout of the city, police said.
Two boys died on the spot and the third has been admitted to hospital where his condition is said to be critical.
The dead students have been identified as Ravi and Aamir and were studying in class seven.
In the last few months, Ranchi police have launched a special drive to ensure that two-wheeler drivers wear helmets. Despite the special drive, schools students below 18 years usually go to school without wearing helmets.
