Mumbai, April 17 (ANI): Providing great relief to the Maharashtra government, the judicial commission of inquiry looking into the Adarsh housing scam today held that the land on which the controversial building stands belongs to the state and not the army. Commenting on the commission s report, former Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chavan said that the report had vindicated the state’s stance. However, the report by the two member judicial commission headed by Bombay High Court judge JA Patil and former state chief secretary P Subramanian also observed that the land was in defense possession for an extended period.
