IOC ‘hugely impressed’ by Tokyo’s bid for 2020 Olympics

Tokyo, March 7 (IANS) International Olympic Committee (IOC) inspectors Thursday said they were "hugely impressed" by Tokyo's bid for the 2020 Summer Games. "We have been hugely impressed by the quality of the bid presentations made by the bid committee," IOC Evaluation Commission Chairman Craig Reedie told a press conference at the end of a four-day inspection tour. "Across the board, they have just been excellent in every way, and it reflects great credit and all their hard work." Tokyo is the first stop for the IOC delegation before moving on to Madrid March 18 and Istanbul March 24.
