Lucknow, May 15 (ANI): In a major setback for the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, her successor, Akhilesh Yadav today gave a green flag to probe financial irregularities in the massive sums of money allegedly siphoned off to build her dream project. A Special Investigation Team set up by Yadav s government will now look into the scam in the construction of parks in Noida and Lucknow during Mayawati’s tenure as CM in the state. The Mayawati government came under the scanner for massive irregularities in the construction of her dream park, with reports revealing that elephants, the symbol of BSP, worth Rs 7 lakh were transported for a sum of Rs 45 lakh.
