Paris, May 7 (ANI): Defeated French President Nicolas Sarkozy wished his opponent luck in Paris after voters crowned Francois Hollande the first socialist president in nearly two decades. Sarkozy said in his defeat speech that he had spoken to Hollande to wish him luck in the face of great economic adversity. Sarkozy was sent down by popular anger at a surge in the unemployment during his five year term. He is the 11th euro zone leader to be swept away by economic crisis.
