New Delhi, April 25 (IANS) The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day Wednesday following the death of Samajwadi Party member B.B. Tiwari, who had taken oath just the day before.
Tiwari, 71, suffered a heart attack Wednesday morning. “He was rushed to hospital, where he died,” said a party member.
Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari read out a condolence message before adjourning the house for the day.
Tiwari, who took oath Tuesday, was elected unopposed from Uttar Pradesh.
