Timbuktu (Mali), July 10 (IANS/AKI) An Islamist militant group punished two drunk men with 80 lashes each in the ancient city of Timbuktu in northwest Africa’s Mali.
The men were whipped by militants from the Ansar Eddine group, according to the Akhbar Mauritania news website.
The militants told the website the two men had been whipped, albeit a fewer times, for a similar incident earlier.
