New York, June 17 (IANS) Singer Mariah Carey has penned a new inspirational song in honour of US President Barack Obama in the run up of his re-election campaign.
The R&B superstar debuted the ballad, titled “Bring It on Home”, Thursday as she performed at a special fundraiser for the Democrat at the Plaza Hotel here. reports dailystar.co.uk.
Carey, who also backed Obama in the 2008 election, took to Twitter after the bash and wrote: “Just finished performing ‘Hero, We Belong Together’ and ‘BRING IT ON HOME’ – a song I wrote especially for the event.”
The Plaza Hotel party took place hours after Obama mingled with guests at actress Sarah Jessica Parker’s house for another political fundraiser.
