Gumla/Guwahati, May 30 (ANI): Police and paramilitary forces came together for a joint operation against Maoists in Gumla district of Jharkhand that resulted in the arrest of one rebel, later identified as Gauri Shankar Pandey. Police officials also seized large quantities of arms, ammunitions and ration from the captured left wing extremist. Meanwhile in Guwahati, the Director General of Police, Jayanta Narayan Chaudhury said that the state authorities were focussed on blocking any recruitment drive by the rebels in the state.
