London, Aug 29 (IANS) A man in Britain has been jailed for pushing a lit firecracker up a 15-year-old prankster’s backside.
Stephen Gregory, of Derbyshire, was so angry at the boy who kept knocking at his door and running away that he subjected the boy to a series of humiliating and dangerous punishments, The Sun reported.
Besides placing the firework between the boy’s buttocks, the 54-year-old lorry driver handcuffed his victim to a washing line and beat him with a cane and horse-riding crop.
Derby Crown Court heard the victim had been playing the game knock and run, tapping on Gregory’s door three times that evening.
Julie Warburton, prosecuting, said the boy intended it as a joke but it annoyed Gregory because it made his dog bark and meant he had to go to the door. A teenager then brought the boy back to the house, where Gregory pulled the youth’s trousers down.
The boy somehow escaped but was brought back to the house by the same teenager.
His trousers were again pulled down and a lit firework was put between his buttocks, making him believe he would be burnt. It was removed before it exploded as people laughed, said Warburton.
Gregory has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for what the judge described “an extreme example of horseplay” which occurred last October.
