New Delhi, Aug 19 : Light showers in the evening brought some respite for Delhi residents who reeled under a humid Sunday. The met department has forecast heavy rains Monday.
The sky became overcast Sunday evening and rain was reported in some parts of the capital.
“There is a drizzle in various parts,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The maximum temperature was recorded one notch above average at 34.5 degrees Celsius while the humidity wavered between a high of 77 and low of 70 percent.
The minimum temperature settled three notches above average at 29.8 degrees.
“The sky will be generally cloudy and few spells of rain may occur. Some places may see heavy showers also,” said the IMD official.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 33 and 27 degrees, respectively
