Cairo, June 02 (ANI): Ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak today received a life sentence for his role in the killing of almost 900 anti government protesters last year but was acquitted on corruption charges. Mubarak s sons Gamal and Alaa along with six other senior officers were acquitted. Inside the courtroom, Mubarak remained silent as judge Refaat handed down the life sentence. Meanwhile, protests broke out inside the courtroom following the court s verdict acquitting Mubarak on corruption charges, while anti Mubarak protesters showing strong discontent gathered outside the court.
