New Delhi/Guwahati, Aug 16 (ANI): Leaders from northeast have expressed concern over the reports of possible attacks against people from northeast across India and urged the concerned state governments to take adequate steps to protect them. As per the media reports, at least 5000 people from northeastern states rushed to get rail tickets to return home after the rumours had spread across the IT city through messages and mails that they could face attacks as a reaction to riots in Assam. Former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Mukut Mithi said that the repercussions of the recent ethnic clashes, which took place in Assam, are unfortunate.
