Mumbai, May 15 (IANS) Filmmaker Shirish Kunder has quashed rumours that the release date of “Joker” has been advanced from Aug 31 to July 27.
“JOKER releases on August 31. All rumours living or dead are purely work of someone’s imagination,” tweeted Kunder.
“Joker”, a 3D film, features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha as the lead pair.
‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’: 370 characters, 280 with dialogues!
Anurag Kashyap’s “Gangs Of Wasseypur”, set to be screened at the 65th Cannes International Film Festival, has a whopping 370 characters. And more than half of them even have dialogues.
“Out of these 370 almost 280 of them have dialogues in the movie,” said a source from the unit.
“Gangs Of Wasseypur” is a two-part film, and both parts will be screened at Cannes this year.
A thriller, it features actors like Jaideep Ahlawat, Manoj Bajpayee and Raima Sen, and narrates a tale set against the coal mafia in Dhanbad.
Imtiaz in search of new story
After the success of his last directorial “Rockstar”, Imtiaz Ali is now on the lookout for a new story.
Asked what’s keeping him busy these days, Ali told IANS: “I’m just trying to figure out my next story. So just working towards that.”
In the meantime, he has associated himself with Mangesh Hadawale’s “Dekh Indian Circus”. He is impressed with the movie, and is spreading a word about the film to take it to a larger market.
