Colombo, Jan 17 (IANS) India and Sri Lanka Tuesday signed four agreements to promote bilateral ties and boost trade between the two countries to $5 billion this year.
The agreements were signed in the presence of India’s External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna and Sri Lankan Foreign Affairs Minister G.M. Peiris after they held talks on bilateral issues, including the early political settlement for the ethnic Tamil minorities.
Krishna is on a four-day visit to Sri Lanka since Monday.
