Visakhapatnam/Imphal, April 22 (ANI): With a common objective to save planet earth from pollution and toxic wastes, the whole of India today observed the World Earth Day , the international day when people around the globe stand up and pledge for a common cause preserving the earth. Southern India stood for the occasion, with activists and environmentalists conducting a beach cleanup programme to educate people about the importance of the environment, in Visakhapatnam. Meanwhile, people in Imphal observed Earth Day by organising a silent rally at Kangla palace.
