India fumes over steep petrol price hike

New Delhi/ Bangalore/Kanpur/ Jhansi, May 24 (ANI): People across the country who are often at the receiving end of fluctuating governmental policies expressed their anguish over sudden announcement of petrol price by Rs. 7.50. Interacting with reporters, locals in New Delhi were up in arms against the announcement and said that continuous petrol price hike takes a toll on their budget. Echoing similar views, people in Bangalore urged the government to roll back prices with immediacy. The situation was no different in Madhya Pradesh where locals slammed the government for incompetency in dealing with inflation that hits the Indian middle class very hard. People in Uttar Pradesh also complained of stagnant salaries in such trying financial times.
