Govt. ready to talk, as Maoist deadline nears

Raipur/Hyderabad, April 25 (ANI): Amidst growing tension in Chhattisgarh, as the deadline set by the Naxals for releasing Sukma district collector Alex Paul Menon nears its end, state Chief Minister Raman Singh today said that the mediators and group of ministers were ready to talk with the left wing extremists. Chhattisgarh government had earlier named two former chief secretaries as its nominees for talks with the Naxals even as activists Prashant Bhushan and Manish Kunjam had declined to mediate on behalf of the Maoists.
