Gehlot does away with Gutkha

Jaipur, July 21 (ANI): Following the footsteps of other neighbouring states, in a bid to save his people from one of the most potent carcinogens, Rajasthan Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, has issued a ban on production, storage, and distribution of gutkha in the state. The decision was taken in a meeting with his council of ministers, and the ban will come into effect after a notification to be issued soon. Provision has been made for penalty of Rs 25,000 to 10 lakh through courts on violation. Expressing concern over possible illegal sale of gutkha after the ban, Gehlot ensured that efforts would be made to ensure that there was no sale of gutkha in any manner.
