New Delhi, Jan 3 (IANS) Rail and air services were affected in the capital Tuesday morning due to the heavy fog.
According to the Northern Railway website, 57 trains were affected — 27 were cancelled while 30 were running late by more than an hour as the visibility dropped to 200 metres at 8.30 a.m.
The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said in a statement that no flights were cancelled due to fog or bad weather in the national capital.
However, four flights were cancelled due to bad weather conditions at the destination airports.
Seven more flights were curtailed due to technical and operational reasons of the airlines.
A total of 78 flights were delayed due to technical and operational reasons of the airlines.
On Monday, 20 flights were delayed due to fog while six were delayed due to bad weather at the destination and another 150 due to operational reasons.
Tuesday’s minimum temperature settled a notch above average at 7.9 degrees Celsius, while the maximum was recorded at 20.6 degrees which was the average for this time of the season.
