Simdega, July 21 (ANI): Acting on a tip off, police in Simdega district of Jharkhand recovered huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives, after a gun battle with the rebels. However, none of the rebels were arrested. Speaking to media persons, Simdega Superintendent of Police, Prabhat Kumar, said that they found blood marks on three different places, which confirmed that two three Maoists were injured in the gun battle. Kumar further added that items used for making cane bombs, food items, mobile chargers and books and posters of Maoists were also recovered, which were send for forensic examination. Also known as Naxals, the rebels have fought for decades in a wide swathe of central and eastern India, including many resource rich regions, where tensions run high between poor farmers and industrial developers.
