Kolkata, July 07 (ANI): Activists come in support for woman athlete, Pinki Pramanik accused of rape even as the Calcutta High Court ordered the West Bengal government to file an affidavit on the progress of the case. Interacting with reporters in Kolkata Pramanik’s counsel, Bharati Mutsuddi took strong objection to her being taken to courts and hospitals without any women police officers. Meanwhile, counsel for the state government, Ashok Banerjee said that the state authorities have been directed to produce detailed notes into the investigation to the court within two weeks. Leader of Communist Party of India Marxist (CPM), Suryakanta condemned the ill treatment towards Pinki whose gender test is still pending.
