Manila, Jan 26 (IANS) Eleven American tourists were reportedly missing Thursday off the Philippines’ resort island of Boracay after their boat capsized.
Two tourists have been rescued, said Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Assistant Commander Ronnie Hiponia.
The PCG and the Philippine Coast Guard-Auxiliary were conducting search and rescue operations, Xinhua quoted Niven Maquirang, a Boracay port administrator, as saying. Boracay is 315 km south of capital Manila
Thirteen American tourists were island hopping when strong waves hit their boat.
