Russia to send ‘stress-relief’ software to space station
Mexico City, May 16 (IANS/RIA Novosti) A flash drive with stress-relief software for crew members of the International Space Station (ISS) will be taken to space by Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin soon. The software was designed by the Russian Union of Nature Photographers, with the assistance of the Federation Council, the upper chamber of the Russian parliament. According to Oleg Panteleyev, who along with other members of the upper chamber assisted the project, said the software is, in fact, a slideshow of thousands of photographs of nature, accompanied by relaxing music.

6,000 motorcycles roar in Mexico, stir Harley-Davidson spirit
Mexico City, May 13 (IANS/EFE) More than 6,000 motorcycles, mostly Harley-Davidsons, roared through several downtown streets of the Mexican capital to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the founding of the legendary firm, which for some created an entire way of life. "Whoever has a Harley is a person who loves freedom, travelling, rolling, feeling free riding a bike," Mauricio Cuevas, one of the organisers of the event, told EFE Saturday. Gathering at dawn in the Zocalo, the main square of the Mexican capital, were hundreds of motorcycles that then paraded down a number of downtown streets until arriving at the Rodriguez Brothers Autodrome, where they engaged in a series of activities.
Mexico slaughters 55,000 chickens to contain bird flu
Mexico City, May 10 (IANS/EFE) Authorities slaughtered 55,000 chickens at a farm in the central state of Puebla where avian flu was detected, Mexico's agriculture department said. The Senasica food-safety agency ordered the birds sacrificed after laboratory tests confirmed the presence of the H7 virus at the farm in Palmar de Bravo. Senasica suspects the virus was spread to Puebla by chickens from other Mexican states affected by the avian-flu outbreak that began in 2012, the department said.
Mexican government proposes bank reforms to spur growth

Journalists’ sons murdered in Mexico
Ciudad Juarez (Mexico), May 6 (IANS/EFE) The sons of two journalists were murdered by gunmen Sunday in Mexico's Chihuahua city, officials said. Alfredo David, 20, and Diego Alejandro Paramo Gonzalez, 21, were killed in the city's Arboledas district, Chihuahua state Attorney General's Office spokesman Carlos Gonzalez told EFE.
