Tehran, July 2 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Iran will respond with its new indigenously built anti-radar ballistic missiles if Israel attacks the Islamic republic, the official media reported.
Iran will respond if Israel "ventures an attack" on the Islamic republic, the IRNA news agency quoted Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of aerospace unit of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), as saying Sunday.
Iran was at the final stage of producing its new anti-radar ballistic missiles that have a range of 300 km, he said.
These missiles can target any radar centres on land or sea with high accuracy and can destroy targets several times faster than the speed of sound, Hajizadeh said.
Speaking at a press conference here, Hajizadeh also announced that Iran will launch a three-day military exercise Monday in Sistan-Baluchestan province.

Iran to hold missile drill

The exercise dubbed "Great Prophet 7" will be conducted by the aerospace division of the
Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Xinhua quoted the Mehr news agency as saying.
Over 100 targets in a desert in central Iran will be targeted by short-, medium- and long-range missiles as part of the exercise.
Iran summons Afghan envoy over anti-Iran media reports
Tehran, July 1 (IANS) Iran summoned the Afghan charge d'affaires in the country to protest recent Afghan media reports that said Tehran was showing ill treatment to illegal Afghan refugees, Press TV reported.
Afghan envoy Shah Mardanqol was summoned to the Iranian foreign ministry to receive Iran's official protest against the "media hype" as well as against the murder of a young Iranian girl by an Afghan refugee in the central province of Yazd.
The foreign ministry's official in charge of Afghan affairs, Mohsen Pak-Ayin, condemned the murder of the young Iranian girl and said Afghan refugees in Iran need to abide by the law, Xinhua reported.
Pak-Ayin also criticised the remarks by some Afghans over Iran's judicial measures against such crimes.
Press TV said the Afghan official expressed regret over the incidents.
